Known as the “Roof of the World,” this trek offers a rare opportunity to explore one of Pakistan’s most remote and pristine regions, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and untamed wilderness.
Located in the upper Hunza region, the trek takes you through the rugged terrain of the Karakoram Range, crossing lush valleys, alpine meadows, and dramatic mountain passes. The highlight is reaching Shimshal Pass (4,735 meters), where you’ll be greeted by panoramic views of towering peaks, vast glaciers, and the serene beauty of the Pamir Plateau.
Shimshal, known as the “Valley of Mountaineers,” is home to a vibrant Wakhi community with a rich tradition of trekking and herding. Along the way, you’ll have the chance to connect with locals, learn about their unique culture, and witness their traditional way of life, including summer pastures where yak caravans graze.
